After WW II a lot of British women married
Dutch men and emigrated to Holland.

They used to meet informally to chat and help each other. This progressed until the club was formed in the 1950's with the aim of bringing together British women living in the Netherlands.In later years many ex-pats from the large multi national companies filled our member's ranks, and recently we are seeing a new generation of younger women marrying Dutchmen as globalization makes the world a smaller place !!

It's great for women who have been here a long time and want to keep in touch with other English speaking women, or for newcomers to Holland who might need a hand finding their feet in a new environment.

We also welcome any woman who would enjoy joining a club with a “British flavour” and would like to speak English during all
Club activities.
